Huawei has hit the headlines several times over thelast few months - and not for the best reasons.

华为在过去几个月里多次登上头条，但都不是因为什么好事。

The tech giant’s smartphone business took a hugeknock, after Google revealed that it was blockingHuawei from using several apps, as well as itsoperating system, on its phones.

这家科技巨头的智能手机业务遭受重创，因为谷歌表示要禁止华为使用其几款应用，也禁止华为手机使用其操作系统。

Following the news, it seems that Huawei is lookingat its other options beyond smartphones, and couldeven launch its own self-driving car.

随着这一消息的传出，华为好像要寻求智能手机之外的其他业务，甚至还要推出自己的自动驾驶汽车。

Speaking to the Financial Times, Huawei revealed plans to launch a self-driving car as early as 2021.

华为向《金融时报》透露计划最 早于2021年推出自动驾驶汽车。

Dang Wenshuan, Huawei’s chief strategy architect, explained that Huawei is working withboth Audi and Toyota to develop the vehicles.

华为首席战略架构师党文栓解释说华为正和奥迪、丰田两家公司合作研发自动驾驶汽车。

He said: “From my understanding, we are working together to have a car that will be shipped inthe year 2021 or 2022 using these [autonomous driving] components.

他说：“据我所知，我们正利用这些(自动驾驶)零部件合作生产一辆汽车，有望在2021年或2022年出货。”

"This will be in China, but not only in China...it will also be in Europe.”

“合作将在国内进行，但不会仅限于国内市场……也会走进欧洲。”

Mr Wenshuan added that the self-driving cars are likely to launch first in China, as carmanufacturers there are ‘moving faster.’

党文栓补充说自动驾驶汽车有可能先在国内推广，因为国内的汽车制造商“发展更快”。

However, if Huawei does launch its own self-driving car, it’ll face stiff competition from severalother tech giants.

然而如果华为真的要推出自己的自动驾驶汽车，将会面临其他科技巨头的激烈竞争。
