Well, the TV program I’d like to talk to you about is called The Files,which is more like a documentary. It reveals unknown stories which are notcommonly studied in school. That’s why I find it appealing.

This TV program is broadcast every Saturday night, and I never miss onesingle episode. Not only me, but also all my classmates and even teachers areinto this program. Actually, it’s our history teacher that introduced it to us,and personally, I’m sure everybody who’s obsessed with history would love thisprogram.

As to why I think it’s educational, well, um… I suppose everyone’s curiousabout what actually happened in the past, and the truth about a historic figureor events, you know, the inside story, and what has been going on behind thescenes, not just what has been written on our history textbooks.

The program is really convincing, professional and well produced, ‘causeall the stories they tell are based on facts and evidences, kind of like“exhibits” in court. So every suspicion and conclusion is well founded. Forexample, I remember one episode about Titanic, speaking of which, I think whatpops into most people’s head is the fictional love story of Jack and Rose. Butof course there’s more to it than that. The tragedy happened not simply becauseof the iceberg, actually, lots of other facts were involved, which was a reallycomplicated story.

So you see, that’s why I think this is an educational TV program.

I’d like to talk about a trip to our local museum which reveals unknownhistory that is not commonly studied in school.

Our history teacher took us there on a field trip. I have to say, she’s notan ordinary teacher who just reads textbooks or her PPT. She wants her studentsto get a deeper insight from what happened in the past. To quote her, it’s notthe grades, but what you truly learned that matters.

I remember all of my classmates were super excited about the trip, ‘causeI’m sure everyone was curious about what actually happened in the past, and thetruth about a historic figure or events, you know, the inside story, and whathas been going on behind the scenes, not just what has been written on ourhistory textbooks.
