The government should spend money in promoting sport and art in school, rather than sponsoring professional sports and art events in communities. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

范文：

It is true that today public focus has transfered on anything that could

enhance people's health and promoting sports has been seen as one of the government main responsibilities;however there is no consensus yet on whether official fund should be allocated to sport and art activities on campus or to the professional ones organised in communities.Although encouraging events tend to be more forward-looking, from a holistic point of view,i think social sports and art events are supposed to receive more governmental sponsorship.

Obviously there would be more beneficiaries in the society,if government invested more grants in professional sports activities.It is a commonplace that  

in many school sport and art  are in the subordinate place, which are usually regarded as pastime and Physical Education are just designed to help students release the pressure from the heavy study load.By contrast,when official sports events are carried out in every corner of the city,all social walks could be involved, ranging from the sports enthusiasts and art fans to every average people who just pass by.Therefore, the core value presented by sports and arts can be better realized and admired by the public.

Besides, tax payers' money contribute to a large part of governmental tax revenue,in other words, government should spare no effort to ensure that

financial aid should be spent more resonalbly in the professional sports to reward all tax payers which are made up of wider social groups not only just students and teachers.

On the other hand, activities and events on campus are also worth governmet attention.From a long-term perspective,emphysis on the importance of sports in school curriculumn helps cultivate sport spirits at an early age.However,schools are usually short in funds to do it well and the financial assistance from governments or other commerical organisations can make school life more diverse and colorful.

To conclude, the government should pay more attention to developing better public sports events in communities by providing adequate sponsorship even if schools are also in need of financial suppport.
