I’ve always wanted to be a singer, ‘cause I think it can be pretty interesting, and I’m sure I would make a fortune if I became popular.

I’m so into singing, and personally I think I have a pretty good singing voice. But for now, it’s just a hobby, ‘cause my mom believes the only way to get ahead in China is to study hard and get a diploma.

However, I think her point of view is a little bit conservative. Actually it can be a promising career and highly lucrative business.

I heard singers can make a huge amount of money in a concert. And they could be invited to reality shows, which is a good way to make some easy money. I mean, some famed stars in the show can make more than a million RMB by just shooting one episode. So you see, that means, a successful singer can make more money in just one day than the rest of us do in a lifetime.

Plus, I could endorse some products. And it’s well known that this job is super well paid.

Besides, I can also make a lot of money and gain more exposure by writing an autobiography, you know, to share my life story and inspire others to achieve what they want.

And there’s a tendency that popular singers are often invited to star in movies or TV series, ‘cause the audience would be curious about their acting skills, so they are more willing to pay to watch the movies.重庆新东方雅思

And sometimes, they could get gifts from generous fans, I mean, it’s not uncommon for celebrities to get laptops, fancy cars or even houses from crazy rich fans.

fortune = a large amount of money例如：

A car like that costs a small fortune.

You don't have to spend a fortune to give your family tasty, healthy meals.

be into something = (informal) to be interested in something in an active way例如：

He's into surfing in a big way.

diploma = a document showing that you have completed a course of study or part of your education例如：

a High School diploma

conservative = opposed to great or sudden social change; showing that you prefer traditional styles and values例如：

the conservative views of his parents

music which is accessible to an audience with extremely conservative tastes

Her style of dress was never conservative.

lucrative = producing a large amount of money; making a large profit例如：

a lucrative business/ contract/ market

Had the plan worked it would have proved highly lucrative.

easy money = money that you get without having to work very hard for it

endorse = to say in an advertisement that you use and like a particular product so that other people will want to buy it例如：

well known = (of a fact) generally known and accepted例如：

It is a well-known fact that caffeine is a stimulant.
