电影或者电视剧里，当你看到别人的毕业典礼的时候，会不会感觉，“我去!这才是毕业典礼该有的样子哇!”尤其是看到人家的senior prom，各种盛装出席的帅哥美女，更是羡慕不已。所以，即使你没有参加过类似的Party，这么多年的观影经历，也大概知道这类party上会发生些什么，那就把你了解到的情节，说给考官喽。不然呢，难道要跟雅思考官实话实说，告诉他在你短暂的人生中，从来没有被邀请去过任何party，大家浪的时候你在家猫着写作业么?

I’d like to talk about a graduation party I joined. It was actually not my graduation party, but as a junior, I could get invited, and a year later, when I graduate, I would have a similar party.

Anyway, it was the biggest party I’ve ever been to. It was held in a banquet hall. Everyone, including the faculty members and students, had to dress up for the party. We were like movie stars in Oscar Awards, I mean, we had to walk on a red carpet, and there were professional photographers taking pictures for us.

After we were all seated, student and teacher representatives started to give speeches on stage. And the screen in the front of the hall showed our photos and videos during 4 years in college. It was the most touching part of the party. All those pictures and videos brought back so many wonderful memories.

The service at the party was excellent. Basically every table had a waiter, it was like butler service, you know. And the food at the party was out of this world. We ate grilled lobsters and abalones, and steamed sea cucumbers. The texture was so soft and smooth. It’s fair to say, it was the freshest seafood I’d ever tried.

Anyway, everything was impeccable at the party, so I’m really looking forward to my own graduation party next year.

雅思口语语言点解析:

banquet = a formal meal for a large number of people, usually for a special occasion, at which speeches are often made例如：

dress up = to wear clothes that are more formal than those you usually wear
