理由一：对于研发技术的国家和公司来说，分享科技成果会让他们失去核心竞争力。比如美国和苹果公司。(First of all, sharingscientific fruits with others will make countries and companies with noveltechonology become less competitive in the global market and thus do harm totheir further development. The reason is that governments and enterprizes devotelarge amounts of money to developing scientific technology while others can usethese technologies without paying any efforts.) For example , it is commonlyknown that America ranks as the most creative nations with hundreds of newinventions being patented per year in the world. What is unknown to us is thatthe startling amounts of money invested in scientific fields. According to theannual financial report of the U.S., billions of dollars are spent in buildingresearch centers, paying senior scientists and purchasing delicate equipments,which is remarkably higher than that of other nations. And these new inventionsbring great revenues for America to counteract the high cost. The same is trueof companies. Take Apple Corporation for example. Apple Company allocates alarge sum of dollars to invent its own operating system for iPhone and iPad,which makes these products competitive in quality. Can you imageadine thesituation where Apple shares its operating system with its competitors such asSamsung.

理由二：分享科技成果会因为会降低所有国家和公司的研发热情，从而阻碍全球科技的发展。一方面：作为研发者国家和公司，因为没有回报所以会不愿意在去开发新技术。另一方面，作为接受者的国家和公司因为可以免费得到最新的科研成果，所以更不会去努力发展科技了。Second,sharing scientific fruits with others will put a damper on the enthusiasm ofmaking novel scientific breakthrough on the part of all companies and countriesand thus hinder the global scientific advances. For one thing, as the inventorsof the latest science and technology, governments or companies are unwilling tomake arduous efforts to develop technology without any repayment, with theresult of the stagnation of scientific development. For another, the recipientcompanies and countries will not try hard to do research for scientificdiscoveries because they can get the latest research fruits for free. As aresult, the development of these recipient countries will heavily rely on othercountries, which reduce their own stability. All these will lead to a viciouscircle to scientific development.

It is easier to be successful today than it was in the past

具体思路如下：

理由一：社会制度更加公平，让人们有了平等的机会去参与竞争，因而现在成功更容易了。在中国古代，人们的升职靠得是关系，但是现在由于制度越来越健全，人们的成功更多取决于自身的才能和努力。Firstly,it is easier to succeed nowadays than before on account of more fair system ofsociety. In other words, under such a fair system of society, each citizen hasan equal opportunity to shine in the competition. In the ancient China, peoplegot promoted on the basis of Guanxi, while nowadays with the increasingly soundsocial regulations and rules, our success mainly depends on our talents andefforts made.

理由二：由于科学技术的高度发达，现在的人们可以获得更多的科技支持，因此获得成功更加容易了。比如说，互联网的出现可以为人们免费提供大量的信息，这在过去是不可能的。(Secondly,achieving success is much easier than before, in that people can obtain moresupport and aid from the highly advanced technology. For example, the advent ofthe internet can provide large amounts of information for free, which wasimpossible in the past. In addition, the well-developed transportation systemnowadays saves lots of time for us, which we can make use of to do moremeaningful things. )

结尾段：有的人可能认为，现在激烈的竞争使得人们成功变难了，但是这个理由与我们的理由相比太微乎其微了。所以我还是认为，现在成功比以前容易了，因为公平的制度和科技的支持。(someopponents may argue that the more fierce competition today makes people lesslikely to achieve success. However, compared with the supporting points of ourviewpoint, this reason seems lackluster. Therefore, I am still convinced that itis easier to succeed nowadays than before on account of highly developedtechnology and more fair system of society.)
