The decision makers should invest more money to improvepublic transportation, like add more bus routes, even build subways, and providetrams in the city, and make public transportation more accessible in general. With the reduce of air pollution, people get a chance to breath fresh air, andkeep healthy.
Task 2
1. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The mostimportant influences that young adults have are from their families.
Personally, I would say families indeed influence young adults a lot. Morespecifically, parents are the very first teachers in our psychologicaldevelopment, and they, together with other family members shape our earlybehaviors, values and even habits. For example, like if your parents are zealousreaders of books and newspapers, one is likely to be a big fan of reading, andthat will positively influence our intelligence. Also, for other personalidiosyncrasies are also influenced by close family members, like if parents arecoffee lovers, the kids also tend to like coffee.

I would say I prefer a very tight schedule, I am the kind of person who arevery motivated under lots of workload, and I am likely to goof off when there isnot much to do. Having a tight schedule makes my day productive, like as astudent, I enjoy finishing assignments, like problem sets, papers, and evendoing group project with fellow classmates. 3. Some would like a job that requires frequent communication with others, others prefer to get job that does not require any communication. Which one doyou prefer?
Personally, I am an extremely extrovert and easygoing person and will bereally bored if I get a job without any communication with others. I reallycannot imagine a position that is repetitive and boring; I do not think I can beproductive and efficient at all. Apart from that, there are numerous benefitswhen interacting with other, like you can have new perspective on things, andhuman beings are at least social being. The last but the not the least, lots ofjob require communication and cooperation with other department in order to makea profit and help others.
4. Do you prefer to live in a residence where there are strict rules (suchas rules against making loud noises at night), or do you prefer to live in aresidence without strict rules.
Personally, I would like to choose a residence with strict rules. Our homeis supposed to a place where we can relax and take a good a rest, thus get readyfor the next day. As a student, I am occupied with lots of assignments, likepapers, presentations, and even group projects during the day. If I go back homeat night and still don't have a chance to take a good rest, I will be reallymad. To be able to live in a place with strict rules, we will not be distractedand disturbed by others, also, it restrains oneself from doing somethingdisruptive to others, and I think it is mutually beneficial to one another.

I will be really bored doing these repetitive tasks, and my workingefficiency will be very low. Secondly, doing lots of different tasks can developmyself to be a well-rounded person, now the job market is very competitive. Ifyou are trained to do different kind of tasks in a professional setting, youwill be more popular in the job market, thus have a better shot in getting ahigher-paid job.

For example, kids are likely to get better education, medical treatment, and even social welfare. However, kids that live in the country are not thatlucky. Apart from that, a big city is multi cultural and full of dynamics, thereare people from all over the country and even from around the globe. Getting achance to experience different languages, customs and cultures will benefit thekids a lot when they grow up and it will make them a better and well-roundedperson.
7. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Students shouldhave some working experience such as doing a part-time job before going tocollege.
I would say students should definitely have some working experience liketaking a part time job before going to university. I have the following reasonsfor support. To begin with, you can make some money out of any part time job,and by saving up lots of money, you probably can pay some part of your expensivecollege tuition, and buy things you are interested in. On top of that, doing apart-time job helps to make someone a responsible person, by working withco-workers, you can develop social skills and organizational skills, which arefairly important for one's future career, and that might give you a better shotto land a sweet job after graduation in college.
8. Would you like to make friend with different interest or the one withsame interest? And why?
I would like make friends with different interests. Even though it might beeasy for two people with the same interest to be friends, as the saying goesbirds of the same feather flock together. However, by making friends with peopleof different interests, we get a chance to know more, like, we can know more indifferent fields, if your friend happens to be a car fan, you will broaden yourknowledge about different types of cars. Also, your friend can learn somethingthat is not very familiar to him, it is always a good thing to learn from othersand have something to offer at the same time.
9. When you have problems, you will ask advisor for help or search itthrough internet or library?
I would say I definitely search it on the internet or in the library. Cuz,as a college student, we are pretty busy with all kinds of assignments likepapers, presentations and even group projects, it is not quite possible for usto find a time when both we and our advisors are available. Additionally, withthe help of internet, all we have to do is to type in the key words of theproblem we are trying to solve, and then we have the answer show up on thescreen, plus, we can do that wherever and whenever we want. It is not very timeconsuming and actually it works fine, most of time we can find the answer bydoing that.
10. Here are two jobs with equal amount of time and pay. One you need towork with other employees in a group and the other requires you to workindividually. Which do you prefer?托福口语练习
Personally, I would like to work in a group with other colleagues, I am anextrovert and outgoing person, and I think it is more fun when there are peoplearound me. Plus, I can also learned the importance of cooperation andresponsibility when I am with a team, to achieve something that is assigned tous, me and my teammates struggle together for a common goal, offer each othermotivation along the way, and I feel that I care something bigger than myselfduring the process, and I think this is very meaningful.
11. Agree or disagree: Power and money is the definition of success for aperson.
Personally, I don't agree that power and money is the definition of successfor a person. Admittedly, people have different perspectives when it comes tothe definition of success. My version is that live life to the fullest, andpursue the things that you are really interested in and passionate about, and bythat, I mean one cannot be judged in monetary terms or even power. A teacher, janitor, waiter or waitress in a restaurant can be regarded successful if theydon't complain what they do, and instead love their jobs. Thus, I think anyperson with love, and has something to offer to society, and makes people happyis successful.
12. Do you agree or disagree that having a relaxed or unhurried life ismost important for a person.
Well, I certainly don't agree that having a relaxed or unhurried life ismost important for a person. Life is short and should not be wasted in doingthings that are not meaningful, like just relaxing and doing meaningless stuff. It is actually very important for a person to keep a relatively tight schedule, and that makes a person productive. Take college students as an example, theyare pretty busy with all kinds of assignments like papers, presentations andeven group projects. If they just wander around and do nothing during college, they might not be able to graduate. Plus, professionals should not just relaxand live a unhurried life, cuz they have to close business deals and be alwayson the run.
