新托福考试写作考生想拿高分,“肚子里必须有点墨水”,背上一篇两篇优秀范文,以备不时只需。以下这篇范文的题目是:Collectibles。

Collectibles have been a part of almost every culture since ancient times.Whereas some objects have been collected for their usefulness, others have beenselected for their aesthetic beauty alone. In the United States, the kinds ofcollectibles currently popular range from traditional objects such as stamps, coins, rare books, and art to more recent items of interest like dolls, bottles, baseball cards, and comic books.

Interest in collectibles has increased enormously during the past decade,in part because some collectibles have demonstrated their value as investments.Especially during cycles of high inflation, investors try to purchase tangiblesthat will at least retain their current market values. In general, the mosttraditional collectibles will be sought because they have preserved their valueover the years, there is an organized auction market for them, and they are mosteasily sold in the event that cash is needed. Some examples of the most stablecollectibles are old masters, Chinese ceramics, stamps, coins, rare books, antique jewelry, silver, porcelain, art by well-known artists, autographs, andperiod furniture. Other items of more recent interest include old photographrecords, old magazines, post cards, baseball cards, art glass, dolls, classiccars, old bottles, and comic books. These relatively new kinds of collectiblesmay actually appreciate faster as short-term investments, but may not hold theirvalue as long-term investments. Once a collectible has had its initial play, itappreciates at a fairly steady rate, supported by an increasing number ofenthusiastic collectors competing for the limited supply of collectibles thatbecome increasingly more difficult to locate.重庆托福考试时间

我们并不主张考生死记范文,考试时如果遇到类似题目照搬上去,这并不能考察考生的写作能力。新托福考试写作多背一些范文,可以积累一些素材,像好的短语、词、句等,灵活运用。
