I prefer to shop in a small store, to begin with, in a small store, youmight get customized products that are tailed to your taste and preference. Also, generally the best food comes from small stores instead of supermarkets, like the pizza sold in a small store tastes like home-make. However, theproducts in a supermarket or department store come in bulk, and it ismanufactured by machines. On top of that, in a department store, usually it isvery crowded and packed with customers, you have to wait in line to check out,it is a waste of time, and it is difficult to find the stuff you want to buysince there are some many sections, and lots of stacks of products in asection.

The onlyreason for me to go on a vacation is to get away from the busy streets andconcrete jungles n the city, and get a chance to be close to mother nature. Bytraveling in the country, I might find a nice spot to go camping and appreciatethe beautiful starry sky at night, and enjoy the tranquility, I don't have thechance to enjoy that kind of moment when living in the city. Also, traveling inthe country makes it easier for me to do some hiking, like walking on the trail, and do some fishing and BBQ.托福学习技巧

19. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? It is easier tobe a teacher than to be a student?

Personally, I don't agree with that. Actually, it is way easier to be astudent than being a teacher. To begin with, to be good teachers, one needs tohave years of teaching experience, a good educational background and even alively character. Frankly, that is very hard to do. However, everyone has aprivilege to be a student. Apart from that, a teacher has far more trickysituations to deal with than students. For example, lots of students, especiallykids misbehave in class, they interrupt the teacher, shout out the answerwithout raising their hands, or even walk around the classroom. The teachershave to discipline them, at the same time they have to make sure the studentsstill have enough motivation to learn.

20. While traveling, some people prefer to go to new places, others preferto visit familiar places. Which do you think it better? Explain why.

Personally, I would to choose to travel to new places instead of familiarplaces. I am the kind of person who likes new and exciting things andexploration. Just visiting a familiar place is not fun, and actually it ispretty boring. On top of that, traveling around in different places makes me awell-rounded person. When travelling, I got a chance to talk to locals and getto know their culture, customs and way of living. By interacting with them I canbroaden my horizon and have new perspective on things.

21. Some people believe that the high school should teach music and art asother basic science. Some people think that providing music and art educationfor high school students is not necessary. What is your opinion and why?

Personally, I think high school students should learn art and music.Actually, it can be very rewarding to learn some art, like kids might understandhow to appreciate delicate artwork, such as, porcelain vase, water colorpainting, sculpture. Plus, art is the expression of the humanity. Without it, wewould have no hope, no aspirations, no joy, just nothing meaningful andenlightening, and one can never underestimate the value of art and music, actually, If you try any form of art, you will get a break from the stresses oflife, work and study!

22. Do you agree or disagree with the statement: people will read fewerbooks in the future than they do today.

Personally, I agree that people tend to read fewer books in the future. Tobegin with, people especially city dwellers seem to be busier than ever before.Professionals and students alike are under constant pressure; sales people arebusy closing deals with their clients, and students have endless assignments tofinish. All these combined leaves them no time to read books. Additionally, inthe past, books are the major source for knowledge. However, in sharp contrast, people nowadays tend to retain information through all kinds of media, likeinternet, TV, so on and so forth. It seems that books no longer play a big rolein people's lives.

23. If you were to choose a class to study for fun, which one would youchoose? An art class or a science class?

Personally, I prefer to choose take an art class. I think it is veryrelaxing, and at the same time, it can be very rewarding to learn some art, likeI might understand how to appreciate delicate artwork, such as, porcelain vase, water color painting, sculpture. Plus, art is the expression of the humanity.Without it, we would have no hope, no aspirations, no joy, just nothingmeaningful and enlightening, and one can never underestimate the value of artand music, actually, If you try any form of art, you will get a break from thestresses of life, work and study!

It is much moreexciting and relaxing to do activities outdoors, since not only can I keep fit,but also I have a chance to breath fresh air and I am not bound by the limitedspace indoors.

25. It is appropriate that students disagree with their instructor.

Personally, teachers and students have totally different background, experience, and positions, thus they might have their own unique and distinctiveperspective. It is normal and okay for them to hold two different opinions, otherwise, it will be very boring and monotonous, and there is no clash of idea, which might be detrimental to students. Students might subject themselves toconformity instead of expressing their ideas. Actually, students should beinclusive, rather than being exclusive to different opinions and ideas sincesometimes only a few people hold the truth. Students should be exposed to allkinds of opinions, and it is proper for them to disagree with theirinstructors.

Plus, if welive close to each other, we can constantly look out for one another. Like if Igot sick or have some kind of emergencies, my parents can attend me in a timelymanner. Also, they are getting old, and they need my immediate care, things canbe much easier if I live close to them.

27. Some universities expect students to choose their major when theyenter university. Others let students wait until the second or third year.Which do you think is better and why?

Personally, I prefer to let students wait until second or third year tochoose their major. To begin with, students struggle to blend in the universityculture for the first year, since high school and university are too different. In high school, students get proper guidance and instruction on everything, however, in a university, students are responsible for themselves and theprofessors might not even know their names, therefore, it's a bad idea to dealwith too many things at the same time. Unfortunately, if they choose their majorafter 2 to 3 years, students get a chance to be exposed to classes in differentfield, and they can take their time and pick up a major that they like.Eventually, they have enough motivation because of their interest.

28. Do you prefer to live alone or live with others.

Personally, I prefer to live alone. Actually, I am very private person, most of the time, I keep things to myself. I would get distracted if I chose tolive with others who I might not familiar with. Actually, I am highly efficientwhen I do things without the disturb of others, like when I study I feel morecomfortable when nobody is around me. Plus, someone you are living with mighthave totally different habits and schedule when it comes to when to study orsleep or even watch TV. It would be really disruptive when one wants to studywhile the other prefers to watch TV.

29. Some students prefer to go to universities or colleges in theirhometown. Others prefer to go to universities or colleges in new cities ortowns. Which do you prefer and why? Include details and examples in yourexplanation.

Personally, I prefer to study in a new city. I think it is very boring tostay in your city, where you have been living for almost 20 years, they peopleyou will meet are still those you met during primary school and high school. However, to be able to study in another city, you get a chance to learn theirlocal cultures, appreciate the natural beauty, and above all meet more excitingpeople, and by interacting with local people and making new friend in that cityduring college, you can broaden your horizon and enrich you life experience.

30. When traveling, do you prefer to stay at one place for a long time orspend less time but visit more places? Explain you answer in details.

Personally, I prefer to stay at one place for a long time. As for me, thepurpose of traveling around is to experience the local cultures and customs, appreciate the natural beauty there. You might have to take your time andinteract with the locals, taking photos, and it is quite impossible for one toachieve that if they just leave the place the time they arrive. Additionally, traveling between places waste lots of precious time, which can be otherwiseused to experience and understand one single place. Also, it saves you thetrouble to plan a complicated itinerary and you don't have to worry aboutgetting stuck on your way to the next destination.
